Quick Snaps Of Vail Colorado

On our drive through Vail, Colorado, we got to see some very beautiful scenery.     I wish we would have had time to stop in and see more.

Have any of you ever been to Vail Colorado?

  1. I haven't been to Vail, but went to Breckenridge a couple of times during college.

  3. No, but the ski slopes remind me of some here in Virginia, although the trees are definitely "out west."

  7. When we moved to Missouri in April we drove through Vail. Unfortunately it was dark, and snowing hard! It looked gorgeous from what I could see illuminated in our head lights. :)

  8. Very pretty. I've only ever driven through Colorado a couple times. The only time I've gone on purpose was for my brother's wedding in Denver. I don't remember much about it.

  9. OMG! What breathtaking country. I can see why many people go skiing there. Are you doing any skiing? How's the food? Cheers!!

  11. Beautiful pictures. I have not been in Colorado since I was 10 years old. I would love to go back and visit some day.

  12. I was stationed at Fort Carson from 66 to 68 and went to Vail quite often, I'll bet things have changed. Imagine 4 GI's 6'+ tall sleeping in a Volkswagen Beetle because we couldn't afford a room anywhere until one started dating the night manager at the Holiday Inn and got free rooms (ended up marrying her, still married). By the way it was the only hotel in Vail at the time, I'll bet they can't say that now. Good Memories!!
