Cleveland Botanical Garden ~ Cleveland Ohio

Most Botanical Gardens I have been to are ho hum and not very enjoyable for the kids.  In the Cleveland Botanical Garden, they get the kids right in there with their Humongous lady bugs, giant flowers and HUGE garden tools.

In the Wonderland of Fanciful Display, the kids can run free in a hedge maze, they can also join in an imagination tea party and there is so much more for them to do.

 

Not only will the kids enjoy the Cleveland Botanical Garden, but adults will love all the different flowers and displays they have set up along the way.

If you happen to be in Cleveland, Ohio and are looking for a place to visit, this is a must see.

Montana's Country Cafe ~ Marble Pennsylvania

We are always looking for a new place to eat when we visit my Daughter in Leeper, Pennsylvania.    I know we have driven by this place 100 times and to tell you the truth, I never seen it.

It is pretty far out in the country and I am pretty sure they only get the locals.     Since we had never been here before, we had no idea what to expect or if the food was good.

 

There are a couple of rooms to sit in and we tried to sit as far away from the door as possible.  It was cold that day and I didn't want to freeze every time the door opened.

 

 You can't see very well, but they have fresh homemade pies in their little display case.

Because I try to eat for the candida diet, I have a hard time at most restaurants finding anything to eat.  They usually drown everything in butter.

When our waitress came over to take our order  (by the way... she is a friend of my Granddaughters)  anyway, I ask for my steak grilled with no seasoning and my carrots with nothing on them... the same for my potatoes.    I don't usually eat white potatoes but sometimes you gotta eat what you can find.

Everything came just the way I ordered it.

 

When a restaurant can get my food the way I want it.... I will go back.

 

Not only did I get my food the way I wanted it but everyone said how good their food tasted.  My Daughter got a hot roast beef sandwich and my Hubs ordered Country Fried Chicken.

 

My Daughter told me this restaurant was in Fryburg, Pa, but it is actually in Marble which is just up the road from Fryburg.

San Jaun National Historic Site ~ San Juan Puerto Rico

The San Jauan National Historic Site includes many forts, including Castillo San Cristobal, Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Fortin San Jaun de la Cruz , which locals call El Canuelo.

 

 

We visited so many forts that I got kind of bored with them.   The guys enjoyed them because some of them had a lot of old relics they could look at.

 

If you are interested in touring old forts and are ever in San Juan, you will be in your glory.

Look how high up I got.  I didn't think I would ever make it up there.

 

We tried to get a picture of us through a little archway, but even with the camera flash, everything was dark.   I love the back round though.

 

Gardens Of Villa des Pitons ~ Heaven on the Hill ~ Soufriere St Lucia

They have some very beautiful gardens here and well worth spending some of the day site seeing.

 

This is the first time ever for me to see how nutmeg grows.   I even bought some fresh nutmeg.  It tastes nothing like what I use from the bottles I buy.  Fresh is the best.

I just enjoyed looking at all the beautiful tropical plants and flowers.  

 

If I had the chance... I would live where it is warm year round!!

Soergel's ~ Wexford Pennsylvania

Most times, when we are on our way to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, my Hubs makes sure he stops at Soergels to get me my bread that is made without sugar, gluten or yeast.

 

They have the biggest selection of breads for me that I can find around our area.   The Millet Bread is my favorite and my Hubs will even eat it when he runs out of his yeast bread.

 

Their Naturally Soergel's store is in the cute little building pictured.

Dinah's Botanic & Historic Herb Garden ~ Curacao

Hahaha... sorry we only got half the picture of the sign.  Not sure what was up there.

While on our cruise, this is one place I didn't want to miss.    I am very into herbal healing and wanted to check out Dinah's Botanic & Historic Herb Garden in Curacao.

Even in you aren't into herbs like I am, this is just a beautiful place to visit and spend some time.

 

Since my digestive system is not what it should be, I was very interested in the digestive herbs.

 

Dinah's son now does the tours and he does a very good job of it.     After the tour, you get to go to their shop where they sell all the herbs they grow.

 

I don't know if any of you watch the Bachelorette, but this is where Emily Maynard had a romantic date   I think this is where she gave one of the guys the boot.   I am not sure of the guy she booted... can't remember his name.

If you are looking for Asian (Chinese) food, this is a great place to shop.   I make sure I go there every time I go to the Strip District.

When they bring out their Tofu, it is still warm  and Cheap!!   I think I only paid maybe 30 cents a square.  That is a very good price.

 

I am not sure what these are but they sure look gross.

 

They have a large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables besides all the rice and other grains they sell.

 

My problem is... most of the packaging is written in Chinese and I have no clue what a lot of it is.
